ARMENIA
This tiny landlocked country situated at the crossroads of Western Asia and Eastern Europe borders Georgia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey, so you can expect variety. While the capital, Yerevan may be one of the world’s oldest continually inhabited cities, the city today is modern and unexpected. And for something totally different I highly recommend Gyumri, Armenia’s second city.

Getting to many of the popular destinations in Armenia is tricky on public transport, so unless you hire a car, I’d recommended taking some of the popular day tours from Yerevan.
