Travel has been part of my life since I was a teenager and it’s now time for me to record some of my memories and photos to help me remember some of my adventures, I hope you find it useful too. Here are some details of the posts to expect in 2024 based on recent and upcoming travels in the first half of 2024

- Tromso in Norway, including a trip to see the Northern lights and Whale-watching (humpbacks and orcas)

Why One Small Bag?
It’s just easier!
I like to jump off that plane, train or bus without delay and without carting a heavy bag about or finding somewhere to dump it. I just don’t want stuff getting in the way!
For this reason, my travel bag is 30L or less and I like a bag to look like a day pack, not a travel pack, as I prefer not to make it overly obvious, I am a tourist!
This is my favourite bag right now which serves me well for most adventures. It is 26L and lightweight. I like to keep my overall pack weight to around 6Kg or less. That does include a small laptop.
It saves me money!
Travelling with less not only makes my life easier, it also saves me money. If I fly, I travel ‘personal item only’ on budget flights, to ensure no extra baggage fees. This is the way I choose to travel now, so even if I am offered more free baggage, I tend to stick with this size, because it makes travelling so much easier.
How I pack…
Also in the travel blog, I’ll answer that question ‘How do you pack so light?‘ There may be a packing list!
Do subscribe to my blog for posts on packing!
